Wait, so you are the creator of this song? I've heard it on like 4 different games and movies, and I love it so much. I can't get enough of listening to it, it's incredible!

This is great. I recently put in a piano cover for a song but Newgrounds canceled it and banned me forever for it not being "Original Piece". Hopefully that won't happen to you because this is good stuff.

Jabicho responds:

Thanks so much man!
Wow that's hard to hear, hope they remove the ban since I always thought that covers were allowed here (back in that time, I checked it on the forums and it was ok)

Thanks again for your words!

Nice job

That was pretty good man, no complaints. I really like how you made this song, very original. :)

Great stuff

Brings back alot of memories breaking targets in Melee. Thanks for putting this up.

WooWee

Yeah man, this is just the kind of shit I look for when it comes to jazz and how much I love it. This is incredible, thanks for making this. No complaints or criticism I could find to even tell you. Happy holidays!

Stavier responds:

Haa, thanx man. Whenever I do this occasional jazz, I always try to put some kinda emotion that can relate to everyone and you proved my point :D Thanx for the review and a Merry X-Mas to you too!!!

Not Bad

Though It wasn't all bad or displeasing it was very simple and repetitive. Plus the rhythm and beat didn't go with the "12 days of Christmas" main part. I appreciate you getting into the holiday spirit. Wasn't much though, no offense intended.

Alright!

So you made these lyrics or did they already exist from the creation of Zelda's Lullaby? Either way it brought back tons of great memories from Ocarina of Time and all of it's greatness.

VGSongbird responds:

These lyrics are my own original lyrics. And I'm thrilled to hear you experienced nostalgia!

Thanks for supporting me!

Aw man

You have to make this into a full song. It was beautiful, just didn't get to enjoy it for very long.

Not bad

It seemed a little plain to me, not to give it a bad rating because of that. You may have been going for that, I just felt like it was a little simple and plain. Not bad though. :)

malcolm81 responds:

Well the song structure is really simple on purpose, the progression is just a 12 bar blues without the shuffle in bar 10 (bars 9 and 10 are both Gb7+9 chords) using somewhat altered harmonies, and I mostly only strike the chords every other bar. That being said the overall effect is not supposed to come across as bland, I kind of try interpret the chords differently and to move in and out of it a bit to get contrast. I'll let it sit for a little bit and give it another listen, maybe I didn't manage to get enough interest in with the improvisation. Maybe some of it is just the choice of style though, so maybe this just isn't your tune ;). Anyhow, thanks for the input.

Awesome

I apparently never made a review for this, but I will now. One of the greatest pieces of jazz I've ever heard. Great work.
